This summer, PACC brings Shakespeare's most gripping tragedy to the ancient Kourion Amphitheatre.
Othello is a story of love, jealousy and betrayal. A great general, a devoted wife, and one man's ruthless determination to destroy them both. Raw, passionate and utterly human; it hasn't lost a single drop of its power in 400 years.
And there is nowhere more fitting to stage it than Cyprus. Shakespeare set Othello here. This island is where his hero unravels, where the heat and the distance from home make everything more dangerous.
To watch it at Kourion, on a clifftop above the Mediterranean, under the open sky, is to experience the play exactly as it was always meant to be felt.

TIPS FOR AUDIENCE MEMBERS

Bring a cushion - ancient stones are beautiful but not very comfy. Cushions will be available to rent for a small charitable donation on site.

Bring something to keep you warm if the evening gets chilly up on the clifftop.

Only water is allowed in the amphitheatre and please take any rubbish away with you.

Parking will be in the field by St Ermogenis Church. A bus will be available to take audience to the amphitheatre and back afterwards. Please take this into account when arriving, as you may need to wait for a transfer. (Walking is also an option if you prefer).
